MHP - ΘV The Mother of God, nimbate, wearing chiton and maphorion, pointing with her left hand towards Infant Christ seated on her right arm (the "Dexiokratousa", a variant of the "Hodegetria" type). Rev. ΘKЄ R,Θ, / TⲰ CⲰ Δ[૪]Λ, / KⲰN A’CΠA/ΘAPIⲰ S Є/ΠI T૪ KOI/TⲰNOC in six lines, decorations above and below. Unpublished in the standard references. An attractive seal of fine style, struck on a large flan. Scrape on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
